The South Texas Coed State Cup is an official tournament, organized and administered by the Texas State Soccer Association-South (TSSAS), in order to encourage adult player participation in our area.

In order to encourage and increase player development, the State Association has created a system of competitions that recognizes the achievement of the better teams and players. These competitions are typically organized to establish state champions in three competitive divisions.

The 2024 Coed State Cups Open and Over 30 will be held in San Antonio, June 8 – 9, 2024, at  STAR - South Texas Area Regional Soccer Complex located at 5103 David Edwards Dr, San Antonio, TX 78233, (210) 619-6159

Prize Money

The prize money for each division and 1st and 2nd places will be determined by how much there is after the field rental, referee pay, and other expenses.

 

State Cup Logistics

The logistics for the state cup are to start play Saturday evening, 6/8, at 5 pm and finish no later than 11 pm, and then start at 8 am on Sunday, 6/9, and finish no later than 1 pm. The number of teams will dictate start and finish times.

 

1st and 2nd place teams in a registered TSSAS league for each division are free, and no entry fee is required. All other TSSAS registered teams in their respective leagues must pay a $250 entry fee. Lastly, all non-TSSAS members are required to pay a $400 entry fee. Again, spread the word.

 

Attached and linked are the rules, entry form, and team rosters team information forms, which mustbe emailed to me (jbanno@yahoo.com) by midnight on May 12.  The team roster form can be sent to me with verification from your registrar.  Rosters are due to me by May 26 at midnight; after this, they will be frozen. Please ensure the teams use this Google Sheets version for easy updates and changes until the deadline! No photos of rosters will be accepted.  030, which is an 8 v 8 format, is limited to 16 players; Open, which is an 11 v 11 format, is limited to 25 players.  **All players must be at least 18 to play in this tournament.  

 

There will be a mandatory team check-in 30 minutes before kickoff to review any rules or questions that must be clarified before the game begins. For example, we allow players to use a government-issued photo ID (the name on the ID must be identical to the name on the roster).
