2022 FIFA World Cup

Ticket Request Opportunity

We are pleased to be able to offer a limited opportunity for members to submit a request to purchase tickets for the 2022 FIFA World Cup later this year in Qatar.

Availability for tickets is extremely limited due to the nature and location of the World Cup, so please note this is only an opportunity to request tickets; submitting a request does not guarantee tickets will be available to purchase. If we are able to provide the requested tickets for purchase, we will follow up to collect additional information, including payment details.

Each organization member may only submit one application during the request window, so please do not forward or share this information externally. The request window is currently open and closes next Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 8pm ET. All requests must be submitted through the online form, available HERE.

Looking forward for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, members will be included in the ticketing application window, rather than having a separate request opportunity, and we will be in touch with more details for that process in the coming months.

ACTION REQUESTED: MAAP Survey

You may remember that U.S. Soccer recently distributed a survey called “MAAPPing our Progress” at the request of the U.S. Center for SafeSport. This survey was part of a larger project, commissioned by the Center, to evaluate the 2022 Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP). Thank you so much to those who completed the survey.

The next phase of the evaluation project involves surveying a wider audience within your sport to better understand the experiences of those who are most directly involved with the MAAPP: parents, coaches, adult athletes, and other volunteers.  We are asking you to please consider distributing the survey below, sometime in the next week, to the groups in your membership listed below.  Alternatively, you may send it to club members who can distribute it to individual participants in these groups.

  •    Parents

  •    Coaches

  •    Volunteers

  •    Adult Athletes

  •    Trainers

  •    Managers

If you would like to preview the survey for these groups, please click [HERE].  The survey is anonymous, should take folks about 5 minutes to complete, and contains questions related to people’s experiences with the 2022 MAAPP requirements.

The Center has suggested the following script for distributing the survey to your membership:

You are invited to participate in a brief survey about the 2022 Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP). The purpose of this survey is to evaluate whether implementing MAAPP requirements leads to desired changes related to safety in sports. If you’d like more information about this project, feel free to visit THIS LINK.

You are being asked to take part because you participate in your local sport community. The anonymous survey contains 24 questions on 8 pages and will take about 5 minutes to complete. The survey contains questions related to your knowledge, perceptions, and experiences related to requirements of the 2022 MAAPP.

[HERE IS THE LINK TO THE SURVEY]

We know your time is valuable and that this is a busy time – we are leaving the survey open throughout the month of September to get as many responses as possible.

If you would like to learn more about the risks and benefits to taking this survey, follow THIS LINK. You may also contact the evaluation lead, Lexi Prunella with Strategic Prevention Solutions: lexi@spsconnect.com or (503) 746-3430.

Thank you for your efforts to foster a culture of athlete safety!

Thanks so much for considering this request, and please feel free to contact Alison Kocoras at akocoras@ussoccer.org with any questions about the survey.
