Immediate Request for Applicatons for State Webmaster

The Texas State Soccer Association -- South (TSSAS) requests applications for the position of State Webmaster. The applicant or applicants selected will receive a two-year written contract covering the two year period beginning on September 1, 2020 and ending on August 31, 2022.

TSSAS is a member in the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). It governs adult soccer for leagues affiliated with USSF and USASA in the South Texas Region (Beaumont/Golden Triangle, Houston, Huntsville, Austin, Round Rock, San Antonio, Temple, Killeen, Waco, El Paso, Laredo, McAllen and Brownsville).

The State Webmaster, first and foremost, is responsible for the website for TSSAS. Historically and currently, TSSAS has been and is a leader in men’s, women’s, in particular, COED soccer. The State Webmaster is an appointed position. The State Webmaster is not elected and will be selected based upon experience, knowledge of the sport, and skill.

The State Webmaster will be responsible for:
- Maintenance and updating of the TSSAS website (www.tssas.org)
- Collaboration with the TSSAS executive board to design the content and format of the website. TSSAS wants the website to be the electronic medium which ties all Leagues more closely together and which offers administrative, training and general soccer information
- Facilitating the development of all adult soccer leagues in TSSAS
- Helping each league become more efficient administratively
- Coordinate with the State Administrator

The State Webmaster:
- Must be computer literate
- Must have their own computer, hard drive and basic software
- Must have experience in designing, administering and maintaining websites
- May not have any conflict of interest with the basic principles and goals of TSSAS
- Must be able to work with Leagues which are not organized or administered on an electronic basis
- Must be knowledgeable of social media and their application to the website functionality

TSSAS has a singular goal: every adult who wants to play soccer should be able to play soccer and enjoy the pleasure that is the beautiful game.
